USAGE

  1. Why is it important to cleanse the nail, cuticle and surrounding skin prior to Gel Haute Polish Application?

For perfect adhesion to the nail, the nail surface must be completely clean and free of any oily residue that is naturally produced in the nail and skin or from previous application of a skin moisturizer. First wash your hands with soap and warm water and dry your hands. Then wipe the nails and cuticles with the GHP Cleanser to remove any remaining residue.

  2. Can I air-dry my Gel Haute Polish without using the Gel Haute Polish lamp?

No, it must be set and cured under the GHP lamp.

    top
  3. Do I have set to my nails under the Gel Haute Polish light for the full 2 minutes?

Yes – to fully dry and harden GHP and for the highest level of shine, you must use the light for a minimum of 2 minutes. If polish layer is thick, extended setting time may be required.

  4. Can I use Gel Haute Polish with artificial nails?

Yes, GHP works well on artificial and natural nails.

    top
  5. Can I apply one thick coat of my Gel Haute Polish color to avoid painting a second coat?

    top
  6. Can I use Gel Haute Polish on my toes?

GHP is great for pedicures. Follow the application instructions as you would on your hands.

    top
  7. Can I “fill” the area of new growth near my nails like I would for artificial nails?

You will not get the most beautiful even glossy finish if you attempt to “fill” your GHP. We recommend completely removing your existing polish and complete a completely new application.

  8. Can I mix shades of Gel Haute Polish to create my own colors?

It is not recommended to mix GHP Colors, however you can achieve new colors by layering different colors together. Completely set each color before adding another color.

  9. Can I create designs with Gel Haute Polish on my nails?

Yes, completely set each color before adding another color.

  10. How many applications are in one bottle of Gel Haute Polish?

Depending on the number of coats you apply per application, one bottle of GHP should provide about 20 sets of polished nails.

  11. Can I use a different brand of lamp to set my Gel Haute Polish?

GHP was designed to work specifically with the GHP UV and LED lamps. Results are not guaranteed with any other lamps.

  12. Can I use a different brand of gel polish with my Gel Haute Polish system?

GHP lamps were designed to work specifically with GHP colors. Results are not guaranteed with any other polish.

  13. Are there any side affects associated with prolonged use of Gel Haute Polish?

As long as application and removal instructions are followed there are no side effects with prolonged use of GHP.

  14. How can I get a perfect French white tip?

Apply the natural base color first and set under the GHP lamp for 2 minutes. Wipe nails with GHP cleanser to remove sticky residue. Then, apply the white GHP to the tips of nails in the desired width. If you make any errors with the white polish, simply wipe from the nail with a cotton pad and repaint or use a small brush or cuticle stick to perfect the line. The white gel haute polish will not set and harden until you set under the GHP lamp. Follow with the topcoat for a perfect finish.

  15. How do I use my favorite regular nail color with Gel Haute Polish?

Follow the instructions for GHP application and apply a thin layer of base coat and set, then apply your quick drying polish color and allow to dry thoroughly, then follow with a thin layer of top coat and set.
